And [mention] when your Lord took from the children of Adam – from their loins – their descendants and made them testify of themselves, [saying to them], “Am I not your Lord?” They said, “Yes, we have testified.” [This] – Lest you should say on the day of Resurrection, “Indeed, we were of this unaware. (Surah 7. Al-A’raf, Ayah 172)

It was when Allah created  all souls and that the light of Allah’s words was reflected in the souls . Theyrecognized their Creator  and testified . This was the covenant that was accepted by the soul and who must finally return to its Lord in the original pure state.  Human beings, due to their forgetfulness and heedlessness must remember the original covenant that was made with the Almighty Creator which will set in motion the return journey to Him.

The Qur`an al Kareem asserts in Surah 43 AZ Zakhruf verse 14

“And verily, to Our Lord we indeed are to return!”

Spiritualism is a knowledge to know about your inner-self as Hazrat Ali (R.A) said: He who knows himself knows Allah.

Spiritualism  is a traditional Islamic science and  a source of self improvement and and self purification . Contrary to popular misconceptions , Sufism does not entail isolation from all wordly affairs . Spiritual training involves abstinence from superficial wordly attractions  for a designated period of time in order to gain proper control over the base desires. (nafs-e-ammara ) untill Irfan –e- Ilahi / Ilm-e- haqeeqi is achieved .

For mankind to make this journey back to heaven it is imperative that we change the condition of our hearts and character towards that which is obedient, serves and submits to the will of Allah. Sufism is practicing the teachings of the the Holy Quran and Sunnah of Beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The closeness of Allah cannot be attained without practising Islamic Shariah which is the main source of guideline for all mankind.

“And those that strive in Our (cause), – We will certainly guide them to Our Paths.” Surah 29 Al-Ankabut Verse 69:

It has been authentically narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:صحيح البخاري التوحيد (7405) ، صحيح مسلم الذكر والدعاء والتوبة والاستغفار (2675) ، سنن الترمذي الدعوات (3603) ، سنن ابن ماجه الأدب (3822) ، مسند أحمد بن حنبل (2/251). Allah (may He be Exalted and Glorified) says: If he (My servant) makes mention of Me within himself, I make mention of him within Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assembly better than it. And if he draws near to Me a hand span, I draw near to him an arm’s length; and if he draws near to Me an arm’s length, I draw near to him a fathom’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I come to him running.

Spiritual Guidelines For Life :

In any form of sainthood there is no need to attain knowledge of the unseen or supernatural forces (kashf), nor spiritual powers (karamah). However, in any form of sainthood it is mandatory to do zikr, recite durood to practice the Sunnah.

Whether one attains spiritualism (roohaniyat) or not, your name should be first on the list of those who strive to attain the infinite pleasure of Almighty Allah. Regardless of what another says or does, after hearing and viewing, practice patience (sabr). Never say anything against any creation of Almighty Allah. Utilise the tongue only for spreading the message of the religion (deen-e-Islam), otherwise remain silent.

Keep your heart and mind focused towards Almight Allah, and the most important point is to do Zikr-E-Illahi, and to advise others to do the same. Make this the purpose of your life.
